Our story
EzLicence was founded to fix a market that hadn't moved in decades. Choosing a driving school used to mean phoning around, leaving voicemails, comparing prices on dated websites, and hoping the instructor who eventually returned your call was the right fit. Learners had limited information; instructors spent more time on admin than teaching.
We built EzLicence to bring the booking experience online, end-to-end. Today the platform connects thousands of learners with accredited driving instructors across the UK, with real-time availability, transparent pricing, and verified instructor profiles you can compare side-by-side before you book.
Our mission
To put choice and control in the hands of learner drivers and the parents who support them. Every learner deserves to see who's teaching them before the lesson starts, to know exactly what they're paying for, and to be able to change instructor at any time, no questions asked.
We believe a more transparent marketplace is also a better one for instructors. When learners can find, compare and book online, instructors spend less time chasing leads and more time teaching — which is, after all, what they got into the profession to do.
What we do
EzLicence is an online marketplace for accredited driving instructors. By entering a pickup postcode and gearbox preference, learners view and compare every available instructor in their area — including pricing, reviews, vehicle details, languages spoken, years of experience and live availability.
Once a learner has chosen their instructor, lessons are booked online in real time. Bookings land instantly in the instructor's calendar — no phone tag, no waiting on email replies. The instructor simply arrives at the nominated pickup address on the day and time chosen to deliver the lesson.
The ongoing management of lessons happens inside the learner's online account, created during the initial booking. From the dashboard, learners and parents can buy, schedule, cancel and reschedule lessons — and change driving instructor at any time — all in one place. Who we serve
Learner drivers. From first-time learners through to those refreshing their skills after years off the road, EzLicence is built around what learners actually need: clarity on price, confidence in the instructor, and the flexibility to manage everything from one account.
Parents. Most of our learners are supported by a parent — paying, scheduling, and often sitting in on the journey. The platform is designed so parents can book, manage and pay on behalf of their learner with the same transparency the learner gets.
Driving instructors. We support a network of independent accredited driving instructors who run their own businesses on EzLicence. The platform handles bookings, payments, scheduling and learner communication so instructors can focus on teaching.
Trust and safety
Every instructor on EzLicence is appropriately licensed and holds a current, valid ADI licence. Profiles include real ratings and reviews from real learners who've completed lessons — not anonymous testimonials.
Payments are processed securely, bookings are confirmed instantly, and learners are free to change instructor at any time without penalty. We believe trust is earned by giving people genuine choice — not by locking them into long-term commitments.
